Greetings one and all! Normally I do low budget (or have up to this point) flicks. Today I'm going to discuss the movie "Dead Set" , this is not listed on Netflix so I'm assuming they could not buy the rights. IMDB however lists this as an 8.1 stars. This is a six part mini series. you can view the trailer HERE
By far one of the best made for TV movie I have stumbled on. Not only is this high budget casting but it is also decent quality gore. Allow me to set the stage if I may. "Big Brother", whether we hate it or love it we have all heard of it. This show places strangers in a house full of cameras and everyweek one person is voted off. This week however will be different. We see behind the scenes of what it takes to produce the show and what the cameras dont catch.
Here is where it gets good. On the eve of removing one cast member an unknown zombie outbreak occurs. the movie does not bother with the why and the how but simply sticks to viewing the 6 remaining cast members and their production staff. Who all eventually become Zombies. the interesting bit here is the fact that none of these contestants can stand each other while they are living together. NOW they are trapped in the Big Brother "house" cut off from society. They have no clue what is going on. they do not know what is real and what is fake.
Watching them fall one by one due to arrogance, or being thrown to the wolves by other cast members is what makes this movie all the more likable. it makes us question as any good zombie movie does, " Could I do that?" or " Could I survive this?" although it has been well over a year since I have been able to watch this I cant give a play by play as usual but I can highly suggest that you pick it up and take the time to watch it. If you are a big brother fan you will enjoy watching your favorite past cast members cameos become zombies. or if you you hate it, you can enjoy watching your least favorite cast member turned zombie.
This is not a feel good zombie movie, this is pure Zombie rampage; blood guts gore and taking the lives of the innocent. Good stuff, good stuff indeed.
I give this four severed thumbs! and remember
I watch this shit so you don't have to!
