Greetings ghoul and Zombie lovers. Well not Lovers that would be necrophillia which is illegal in most states. Anywho, this review will be of the 2009 "Mutants". This was rated three stars on Netflix and 5.6 on IMDB. The trailer can be viewed HERE.Ya know it is always troublesome when they have no picture of themselves on IMDB. Does know one want to be associated with this flick?
NOTE: This is a foreign subtitled flick
At first glimpse this seems to be good camera work.
This zombie virus has a 28 Days Later feel more so than a walking dead or uneartly feel to it. It starts in a rather graphic scene. Spoiler Alert * A girl gets liquified by an amulance. * We are met by three characters. A husband wife scientist/medic duo and a paramilitary female. Now would be a good time to remind that this movie is subtitled so if thats a killer for ya you will dislike this movie from the get go.
It seems as though the couple and the military have different plans which result in a shootout and the husband becoming infected by a stray bullet. Basically the whole film is shot as the wife tries to protect herself and her husband from himself as he mutates.
Add in a gang of rouge individuals and you have a smashing good time destroying raging lunatics. As the survivors are locked in what appears to be a hospital with one mutant, dozens more come rushing the place, they break in and all hell breaks loose. The survivors get separated. All the while Marco, the husband, is locked in the basement.
Marco escapes and the survivors are picked off one by one. Some quite deserving of their fate. This was not a bad movie but to see how it ends you'll have to watch the movie. I would suggest giving this a view for an interesting flick. A good one time watch.
I give this a solid four severed thumbs
And remember I watch this shit so you dont have to!
Shane
